We have 100% Personalized Live Training

What is Live Mentor?  The founder explains in his words.

Get started today to supercharge your career.

Here are a few ways how we are different than standard online training:

Personalized Mentoring

You work with your projects and get questions answered directly that pertain to getting your work done.  The solutions and lessons are tailored to you.

Screen Sharing

Share your screen, have your mentor see your work and annotate on it in real time.  Your mentor can even control your screen for maximum interactive learning.

Video Conferencing

You will be communicating via video conferencing.  Each session is recorded and saved for you to keep forever.  You retain full rights to the recordings.

Education is empowering

Here are Live Mentor we “think different” about education. We realize that in order to make the world a better place, education will need to be globalized.  We understand that as the internet makes the world smaller, we can reach out and find that perfect mentor to coach or help with a professional, personal or educational project — whatever the subject!  Our mentors are of the highest caliber and love to optimize and streamline processes.  We live by the 80/20 rule.

Teaching is a passion

Yes, that's right!  I have a passion for great art and also for teaching people.  My goal is to make sure that you understand the concepts I present to you.  I want to "teach you how to fish" instead of just handing you a fish.  When you gain the skills to take your work to the next level, it's incredibly powerful.   More importantly, when you learn great techniques and make them your own, you will become a valuable asset in any situation.  That's what's exciting about teaching and I know I can take my experience and translate it for you.

Hi. My name is Rob Nederhorst and I am a VFX Supervisor in Los Angeles with nearly 20 years of experience in the feature film, television, commercials, and game industries.  I have been a Nuke user since 1998 and was part of the development team from around 2001 until I left Digital Domain in 2005.  I have also been a very active V-Ray user for over 10 years now.  I even starred in: VRay IRL. I'm the bald one 🙂

You may have no idea who I am or the kind of work I do.  To give you an idea of what I have done, here is a copy of my reel from from 2011:

Before we get too far, let me ask you a few questions...

  • Do you want to work at feature film quality level?
  • Do you want to know what it takes to finish a shot?
  • Do you want to know tricks and secrets of the trade?
  • Do you want answers for your specific problem versus a generic tutorial?
  • Do you want someone to look at your project and work with you directly?

When you apply using the button above, just know that we don't talk about the weather, the stock market, or what we had for dinner.  We talk about YOUR work on YOUR screen.  We point you in the right direction so that you can continue to do what you do best : create!
